Missouri Chamber Music Festival ProAm Intensive mixes nationally-known professional with amateur classical musicians June 7--10. at the Community Music School of Webster University, 535 Garden Ave. The size of the program has doubled from last year's successful inaugural event to include twenty-one (21) amateurs split into eight groups with MOCM's highly skilled and nationally recognized artist-faculty. The faculty is comprised of musicians affiliated with the Saint Louis Symphony as well as Webster University, the Mostly Mozart Festival, the Indianapolis and Boulder Symphony orchestras. The ProAm is a fully collaborative chamber music experience grouping the amateur participants by ability with a professional faculty member who serves as musical mentor while rehearsing and performing as a member of the group. Some groups come fully formed to be augmented by MOCM faculty and others are put together through individual applications. This year's participants hail not just from the greater St Louis area, but from a wider national range.

Mysterious and eerie in nature, Elegyis said to reflect upon both the memory of a dear friend but "can also be viewed as an homage to Béla Bartók, whose ghost haunts every page," according to Baker."
