Fred Jonny Berg - Composer News
Fred Jonny Berg is a Norwegian composer, creating music for a broad gamut of instrumentations, from solo to orchestral works. His production counts some 200 titles, including works for e.g. piano, flute, violin, viola, cello, contrabass and orchestral works like piano concertos and symphonic poems. Berg is also a movie director and executive producer, working closely with the company Symbiophonic, which publishes his sheet music and productions worldwide. As coordinator and producer, Berg has worked with a number of releases, both within music and film.Berg lives in Saltdal, a valley north of the Arctic Circle. It is possible to download HI-FI MP3 and sheet music online.

Autumn 2009, Symbiophonic will release VICINO ALLA MONTAGNA, movie No. 2 in the quatrology "Symbiophonies". The movie is a High Definition (HD)-production, and the pictures are shot in and around the mountains in Saltdal, Norway - hence the title VICINO ALLA MONTAGNA ("Close to the Mountains").

Saturday, 7th of February 2009, Flute Concerto No.1 Op.70 had its world premiere. About 500 people attended this concert in St. John's Smith Square, London. For Symbiophonic, this evening will enter history as one of the greatest and most memorable Events ever. In addition to sparkling performances of Sibelius' Karelia Suite Op.11 & Symphony No.7 op.105, harpist Catherine Beynon, flutist Emily Beynon & Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy gave exceptional performances of Fred Jonny Berg's Flute Concerto No.1 Op.70 (world premiere), Heart Op.27 No.5 (UK premiere) & Flute Mystery Op.66b (UK premiere). The audience responded with enthusiastic and lasting applause.
